Second Ultrasound - gender

Week 18...

We found out during our second ultrasound back in February that we were expecting a baby boy. Hunter was pretty excited as I think the idea of having a girl somewhat scared him! Here are the photos from that ultrasound.

The first three months

We found out we were pregnant November 8, 2008. Hunter was in denial for another three months or so (he may still be now)! We decided to keep things our secret for a little while until everything started to sink in. We had both been training to run a half marathon early December down at Kiawah Island. After consulting with my doctors, i got the go ahead to continue with my runs. We both completed our first race and had a really great time. Around the same time, we began to tell family about the little one we were expecting.

While I wasn't really sick in the beginning I did struggle with energy, have waves of nausea, and felt icky! I didn't show at all in the beginning and I suppose that is a good thing. These are pictures of our current fuzzy "kids."

Second trimester construction

Around week 12...

We live in an old house and decided that with a baby on the way, we best do some home renovating before it was too late. So, i find myself living in a garage apartment with two dogs, two cats, and a husband for nine weeks. Things were tight and we were all very close. I knew the crunched space would be worth it in the end as we were going to end up with a nice kitchen, two nice bathrooms, and a great deck and fence in the backyard. Before pictures of the house...

Beginning of the second trimester...

Week 16...

So, I thought I was beginning to pooch back then but now that I look back, that was nothing! I was about 2 pounds heavier than usual. I'm in for a treat.
